Internal Medicine

Internal medicine is the branch of medicine that deals with treating the whole patient. An internal medicine physician, also called an internist, can treat many illnesses and conditions, and is skilled in treating a patient who has several illnesses or disorders at the same time. This internist, who can be a primary care physician, emphasizes disease prevention and wellness, but can treat problems of the eyes, ears, skin, nervous system and reproductive organs, along with mental health or substance abuse issues. The internal medicine physician can also treat cancer or diseases of the heart, blood, kidneys, joints, and digestive, respiratory and vascular systems, while concentrating on the wellness of the patient as a whole.

Hypnosis

Hypnosis – What is it?
To many people, the word hypnosis brings forth feelings of fear and apprehension. They think that they are unconscious and under the control of the hypnotist. Nothing could be further from the truth.

Persons in hypnosis, are deeply relaxed physically; but mentally, many times more alert than in their normal state of awareness. They hear and respond to everything and are an active participant in the session. They have complete control over what they will or will not do and instantly reject any suggestions that are uncomfortable to them.

If the person like and wants the suggestions given, they are allowed to enter the subconscious mind. This part of us is like a computer and must respond to what is allowed to enter it.

We are all what the programming in our subconscious mind perceives us to be. If this part of the mind views us as fat, we become fat. It perceives that we smoke, we smoke, and so on with shyness, poor self image and other challenges we might be struggling with.

Using hypnosis, we are able to access this subconscious computer and re-program ourselves to be whatever we want to be.

I Don’t Know If I Can Be Hypnotized
Hypnosis is a natural state of mind. You enter some form of hypnosis several times everyday. Anyone can enter hypnosis very easily, providing you have the following two things.

1. You must want to be hypnotized. No one can hypnotize you against your will.
2. You must not have any fears or misconceptions about hypnosis and how it works.

What is a Hypnosis Session like?
Your hypnosis session will be an extremely pleasant experience consisting of four distinct parts.

First, a professional hypnotist will explain in detail what hypnosis is about and how it will work for you. He or she will answer all your questions and discuss any misconceptions that you might still have concerning hypnosis. When this part of the session is complete, you will know more about the truth of hypnosis than 90% of the general public.

Second, the hypnotist will discuss your goals or issues with you and how you can most rapidly achieve the desired results.

Third, when you are absolutely comfortable with the idea of hypnosis and feel good about working with the hypnotist, then the actual hypnosis session will begin. You will be guided into a very deep state of mental relaxation. You will feel very relaxed, but extremely alert mentally. You’ll be aware of everything going on around you. Suggestions for the change you desire will then be given to your powerful subconscious mind. The suggestions will enter your subconscious and become a part of you. The old programming which was keeping you from achieving your goal, or causing a problem is removed, allowing you to accomplish goals and eliminate problems. You will then be emerged from hypnosis with strong suggestions of good health and positive attitude. You’ll feel better than you have for a long, long time.

The fourth and final part of your session consists of a brief discussion of the session making sure your desired change is felt within you and, if necessary, setting up your next appointment.
